ONE carries out defect classification by using some basic standard criteria:
- The Component which the defect was found on
- Date defect was found
- Discipline of defect (e.g. Pipework; Structural; Mechanical etc.)
- Location of defect (e.g. physical deck/module/location and GPS data if required etc.)
- Safety Critical Element and/or Hydrocarbon
- Priority and / or Risk impact
- Defect Subtype (user definable e.g. Pressure Containment, Fabric Maintenance, Vibration etc.)
However, these are only a sample of the information recorded and assigned per defect. All classification data can be used to perform search functions and is used for reports and analysis.
